Medix EMS is a British Columbia-based industrial and event medical services company providing occupational first aid, paramedic services, and safety support across multiple industries and service regions. As we expand our safety consulting division, we are seeking Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (CRSP®) to join our team in a client-facing consulting capacity.
This is not an in-house staff role. You will be deployed across BC, working directly with client organizations in industrial, construction, and operational settings — assessing their programs, strengthening their safety culture, and ensuring full compliance with WorkSafeBC and BC OHS Regulation.

Our safety consultants represent Medix EMS in the field as credentialed, independent professionals. You will manage your own client relationships, deliver program-level consulting, and make a measurable impact across multiple industries — backed by the infrastructure and support of the Medix EMS team.

Responsibilities
▪ Conduct OHS program assessments, gap analyses, and compliance audits for client organizations
▪ Develop, review, and strengthen client safety policies, procedures, and management systems
▪ Advise clients on WorkSafeBC compliance, BC OHS Regulation, and the Workers Compensation Act
▪ Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning
▪ Deliver safety training, leadership coaching, and orientations to client teams
▪ Provide strategic consulting support across multiple client accounts province-wide
▪ Represent Medix EMS professionally in all client-facing interactions
Qualifications
Required
▪ Active CRSP designation in good standing with the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP)
▪ Demonstrated experience delivering OHS consulting, program development, or safety management services
▪ In-depth knowledge of BC OHS Regulation, the Workers Compensation Act, and WorkSafeBC processes
▪ Confident and professional communicator — equally effective with executive leadership and frontline crews
▪ Self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
▪ Willingness and ability to travel throughout British Columbia for client engagements
▪ Valid BC driver's licence and clean criminal record check
Assets
▪ Experience in industrial, construction, energy, EMS, or high-hazard work environments
▪ Familiarity with WorkSafeBC claims management and return-to-work processes
▪ Previous consulting or third-party advisory experience
Employment Details
Position Type: Full-Time · Part-Time · Contract / Project-Based
Location: Province-Wide, British Columbia — travel required
Wage: $40.00 – $65.00 per hour, based on designation, experience, and engagement type
Start Date: Ongoing — positions filled as suitable candidates are identified
